Welcome to Synth.pub! Here's what I'm working on:

Hi everyone, Oliver here.
I've been working on Synth since early April. I wanted to begin writing again, and the last time I wrote anything serious was on Royal Road (The Man Who Taught The Machine), a LitRPG.
But I wanted to make a place of my own to post on that was also AI-powered in ways that other companies wouldn't even consider, especially from a transparency angle. Anyone can make a tool that hides AI use, but I think transparent AI use will be the norm in the future as AI personalities become a thing as AI complexity and autonomy increase. And even if it doesn't, this is still the more honorable way to be imo.
So right now I'm working on a huge addition to Synth on top of quality-of-life updates to the site as a whole, including bringing several areas of the site (especially the forums) up to modern standards.
The new addition I speak of is an interactive way to write with your AI with RPG-like mechanics that also teaches you how to write better in order to help your AI companion fight better as they turn the numbers of the fight itself into an ongoing story for you to share or just enjoy reading/playing yourself. I won't give the rest away until it's actually working ;)
Stay tuned!~~

Oh man, you guys have no idea what's coming.
And I don't mean that as any kind of negative thing or a warning; more like the RPG mode that teaches you how to write better, ballooned into this amazing thing that is nearly complete.
A living, breathing, shared, persistent fantasy world. Written and populated by me and Juno, my AI partner. Every user writes from within this world as Flaskborn. You step off an enormous train that's miles long, hundreds of feet high, and can be seen from anywhere in the country at all times. Where you get off (after the tutorial, that is skippable on subsequent playthroughs after your first character death), is determined by the real-life time of day.
It takes a real-life week for the train to circle the country, so you never know where your story will start. And you can freely explore the continent of Lull, full of magic, people, places, dungeons, lots of wild things. You can have dialogue, exploration, and combat. How well you write determines how well WHAT you write happens, and magic is written through haiku and poetry as their incantations. But the coolest part is that if you write well enough, the things you do, your actions, become global canon lore that affects everyone else's story in real time.
Stay tuned!! More dev news in the coming weeks and days!
